No Mis-information — Just Factual Analysis.
The corona pandemic is real. The virus is spreading fast. The virus is deadly. However, most people will survive this crisis. The world will go on. In my opinion the fear about the virus and bad reactions to fear or bad information by ignorant people is much more dangerous then the actual virus itself. As a member of the general public we are not privileged to all the real facts but we are able to compare information from experts around the world and draw our own conclusions. The goal of this block is to share my analysis for information from different experts from different countries.
The TOP PRIORITY must be to stay uninfected.
What to do: We know that the virus is super- contagious through personal contact with infected(contagious ) people. So far i have not seen any evidence of the virus being airborne. Therefore, contagion may happen by getting droplets of contagious body fluids and excrements into your body. this can be avoided by avoiding people altogether. However that is almost impossible. Second best, it can be avoided by being inside the danger zone of infected people. Experts say about a 2 meter radius. Common sense dictates that people who are sick protect the rest of us if they wear masks that don’t allow the droplets to get past. Or by uninfected people wearing masks that don’t allow the droplets to enter their body. The problems is the masks don’t cover your eyes, the virus may enter through the eyes (sockets) as well. Hand washing and sanitizing after touching communal objets and before touching ones face is one of the best ways to protect yourself.
Not everyone who coughs or sneezes has corona.
- take care of your immune system. The best thing you can do.
- wash your hands
- don’t touch community objects with your hands. use pencil to use atms or elevator buttons. sanitize your hands or use a tissue to open doors.
- sanitize objects
- no handshakes
- no hugs
- don’t share eating utensils and drinks
- don’t sneeze and cough in public without a facemask
- don’t touch your face
- don’t interact with people at risk without protecting them. (wear a mask, sanitize your hands before touching them)
- continue to support your local business. Restaurants. Service people. Just do it in a NON contact way like take out and use non cash payments.
- change your business or job in way that has less personal interactions like working from home. video conferencing. Or start a Ventilator factory or facemark factory :).
- don’t let the economy go down by not spending money,
- support the needy and less fortunate people in your community.
